April New Moon - Krama

This new moon invites you to go inside – outside.  Go out into nature.  Listen to her breathe and grow.  Everything is growing right now, even you.  Krama, is a word in Sanskrit that means sequence or unfolding.  It is a deep mystical unfolding, not necessarily linear, but unfolding all the same.  This New Moon is in Taurus, the nature lover of the zodiac.  New moon’s invite us to turn our attention inward, to take the solar power of the sun, in this case Taurus, and bring it inward to our inner world of feelings, intuitions and ultimately our unconscious.  How can we bring the ‘krama’ or unfolding of nature into our inner world?  We too are always unfolding, emerging slight different each day.  Mercury and Uranus are inviting us to employ radical, innovative thinking, and Saturn and Chrion are helping us to unearth old unresolved issues that have held us back from making the changes we have wanted to in the past.  Warning there is a possibility to be sharp of tongue or pull something out from ‘under the carpet’ we may have preferred to leave there.  Either way, there will be transformation and a new unfolding if you take the time to listen to your self, and to Nature.

New moon’s are also about planting seeds.  During the last full moon, we talked about how important it is to ‘tend the inner garden’.  This New Moon is an extension of that theme, you did your weeding last month, now what seeds do you want to plant and nurture in your inner garden?

Activities:
Yoga:  Go out into the trees, and do Vrksasana (tree pose), maybe even put one of your hands on the trunk of an ancient tree.  Stand there, rooting and rising, moving with the wind.  What wisdom can the ‘standing people’, the trees, have for you today.

Art/Mediation: Go out into nature, and collect leaves and rocks, and find a spot there, to create a mandala, a circle of twigs, leaves, rocks, moss or whatever you find. Take a photo and put it on your altar.  Leave it in that wild place for other’s to enjoy.
