Personal Responsibility & Evolution
Full Moon 17 degrees Capricorn July 8, 2017 at 9:06pm PDT

This Full Moon is in Capricorn, the ‘leader’ or ‘father’ of the zodiac. Like Cancer, Capricorn is deeply interested in the care of others, but less about the nurturing of their soul as Cancer is and more about providing the physical needs for success: organization, plans, rules, stable structures, knowledge, and leadership. This Full Moon is really about taking responsibility for your life. Where you have been? Where you are? Where you are going? Answering these questions honestly to yourself can help you take personal responsibility for building the future you desire.

I have an amazing mentor that I meet with, Amy Reed.  We talk a lot about yoga philosophy. She has studied with Dr. Douglas Brooks, a Hinduism scholar.  This past week she shared a Yoga philosophy she learned from Dr. Brooks about three ways of looking at our manifest world.  I think these teachings are an excellent way to look at this Full Moon.

The first way is the lens of Prakrta – which looks at the Universe from the perspective where it is finite, measurable, certain, factual.  You get what you expect.

The second lens is Rahasya.  Rahasya is the way in which your expectation is exceeded.  What was impossible is possible, the unexpected miracle.

The third lens is Ati Rahasya which says you can participate in the creation of your world. It’s true, sometimes things will be out of your control, like where you were born (Prakrta) or a chance meeting that results in a life time partnership (Rahasya).  In the end however, it is YOU who decides how you respond and what you do with the circumstances given to you. When using the lens of Ati Rahasya, you realize that you can change your own life, you can create Rahasya, the unexpected miracle.  You control your own destiny.

New neuro science is finding out more about the power of positive thinking and visualization.  The more you visualize where you want to go and what you want to achieve the more likely you will achieve it, the more likely Rahasya will happen in your life.

So, how does this apply to this Full Moon.  For this Full Moon, we have some really powerful players.  Pluto and the Moon are in a deep embrace and they are also in a standoff with the Sun and Mars who are deeply connected.  And Jupiter is arguing with everyone.  These planets are creating a challenging T-square.  T-squares are like a 4-legged table that is missing a leg. They are unstable, unpredictable and can really cause upset.  The traditional interpretation sounds a little like this….

”…you are likely to be overly emotional, impulsive, righteous and prone to fights, conflicts and accidents”.  Yuck!

By applying the lens of Ati Rahasya with Capricorn’s ability to be responsible for yourself and your domain the interpretation sounds like…

“…there is tremendous energy in this Full Moon towards transforming, uncovering limiting habits, perspectives and relationships that do not support you anymore.  You have the opportunity to bring consciousness to these areas. Let go of what no longer serves you. Consciously draw into your life what you want to create with purpose, intention and visualization.  This is the perfect time to chart the journey of your evolution.”

Either way you’ll get a little help from Saturn’s good relationship with Neptune which can help you understand your role in the world.  Also, Saturn still has a good relationship with the North Node (your life’s purpose) to help guide you towards what has heart and meaning for you.  In addition to the help from Saturn, Venus is getting a little love from Jupiter which will help to create feelings of benevolence and grace.

So, it’s really your choice. You can stomp and whine and cry, or dive deep to ascend.

Blessings,
Andrea
