Hello Folks,
It has been a long, long, long time since I have written a blog post about a moon cycle. But recently I saw a video of an AMAZING horse race that feels so very much like today’s total lunar full moon eclipse. That I had to share! A lunar eclipse happens when the earth comes between the Sun and the Moon. They are catalysts for change. Amazing and sometimes terrible things can happen during eclipses. They turn everything inside out, forcing us to look from a different perspective. This Lunar Eclipse has the Sun is in Taurus and the Moon is in Scorpio. Taurus when it is functioning well, is patient, joyful, and loving the experience of all the deliciousness life has to offer. When Taurus is not functioning well, it can be materialistic, stubborn and a bully. Scorpio when it is functioning well can be passionate, deep and dedicated whereas when it is not functioning well it can be malicious, manipulative and self-serving. By nature, eclipses can highlight – or bring our shadow to light. It would be easy to fall into the darker non-function elements of Taurus and Scorpio, especially because this lunar eclipse is likely to bring up old past hurts. This gives us an opportunity to resolve these old issues that are likely warping our current perspectives. Now is the time to clear the mud from our eyes so to speak. Another way this may unfold is a final breakthrough of a long-held dream or something you have been working on for a long, long time. If we can focus our passion (Scorpio/Moon) to stay patient and determined (Taurus/Sun) amazing things can happen. Just like what happened at the Kentucky Derby on May 7, 2022. This horse, Rich Strike and his jockey Sonney Leon did just that. Rich Strike had odds of 80 to 1. In fact, he wasn’t even supposed to race that day because he did not qualify. He got a last-minute spot because another horse was scratched. Because of his low standing, poor Rich Strike and Sonney were put in the very last gate as far from the rail as possible. Making it even more difficult for him to be a contender. You HAVE to watch this race. It is AMAZING!! *Spoiler* they win! They win, because Sonney, stayed connected with his horse, and stayed patient, determined and focused his passion. He did not push when there was not space to push, he waited, then when space miraculously opened up, he grasped it – will all the DEEP PASSION and DETERMINATION of Scorpio. He did not give up when the things looked impossible. When he was in the way, way back, and when there was not room to move forward. He stayed focused and patient. Of course, Rich Strike ran his heart out, pushing hard until the end, not giving up. Winning the Kentucky Derby is a big deal. Winning the Kentucky Derby when you have odds of 80-1 a HUGE deal. The last horse to win against greater odds was in 1915. But winning the Kentucky Derby and NOT going onto to compete in the Preakness is rare. Often whoever wins the Kentucky tries for the Preakness, because if they win the Preakness then they can go for the Triple Crown by winning the Belmont Stakes. This is a coveted title that has only had 13 winners since 1875! The reason I am sharing all this with you, is the owners of Rich Strike CHOSE to rest instead of competing in the Preakness, there by releasing the dream of winning a Triple Crown. Winning the Kentucky Derby was enough. Remember when I was mentioning the darker, non-functioning sides of Scorpio and Taurus, reaching for this Triple Crown would have been treading dangerously close to those darker elements of greed, and ego. Instead, they chose to let Rich Strike rest. A truly Taurus skill. Resting is as important, sometimes more important than working hard. There needs to be a balance. All in. All in for work and All in for rest. On a slightly different note, I have been “All In” for getting set up here in Helena. It has taken a lot of patience and determination. It has been a long-held dream of mine to get back to working with clients. Finally, it is time. I am VERY excited to announce that I am now seeing clients Tuesdays and Fridays at the Gentle Healing Wellness Center. Also, I will begin my first series tomorrow!! Below is the information. There is still some time to join me in person at the studio or via zoom. May this lunar eclipse be a gentle clearing away for you, allowing to see yourself more clearly. Dive Deep to Ascend! Andrea
