Full Moon
Aug. 7, 2017 11:11am Partial Eclipse 11:22am.  15 degrees Aquarius

Hello  Friends,

I should call this Part 2 of 3.  Last month, I posted an interpretation about the July New Moon in Leo and how we will get a 2nd New Moon (Solar Eclipse) in August also in Leo. I discussed how that in-between these amazing new moon’s, there will be a Partial Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius.
You can read that posting by clicking here.  These three celestial events are really connected in a very deep way.  Last month’s interpretation, Part 1, marked the beginning of or our journey towards exploring how we can shine.  This interpretation, Part 2, is a deepening of that journey of liberating ourselves and inspiring others to free themselves from self-limiting beliefs and behaviors that keep us from shining.   Later this month, in Part 3, we’ll look at the deeper effect of how our inner sparkle effects our outer world.

With double New Moons in Leo the Universe is really asking us to shine bright by doing our inner work, healing our inner wounds and broken places and shining from the INSIDE OUT.  However, this is only half the equation.  The universe not only wants us to shine, it also wants us to inspire and support others in their healing processes in order to CREATE a world where everyone has the space and permission to be themselves and shine brightly.   We all need to work innovatively on these processes. Aquarius is the perfect sign to help us evolve our own inner workings and to work with others to create that
new world view where everyone is welcome, valued and has the opportunity to share their gifts at the table of life.

This upcoming Partial Lunar Eclipse (not visible here in the PNW), will be in Aquarius.  Aquarius brings equanimity and a cool-headedness to ego-centric Leo.  Aquarius in her highest form is an innovative, socially conscious humanitarian who is focused on freedom for all.  She doesn’t get lost in her own personal drama, because she is looking at things from a 10,000 foot view.  She is able to have a sense of heathy detachment, allowing her to discover innovative solutions.  In her shadow she is more interested in her own freedom over the cost of anyone else’s freedom, is emotionally absent and lacks passion.

There’s a lot to talk about with this Full Moon.  To start, Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus (structure and innovations).  In order to achieve the freedom, which is Aquarius can offer, we need both these energies.  What is unique about this Full Moon is that BOTH rulers of Aquarius are retrograde.  Saturn went retrograde in April and Uranus went retrograde on Aug 3.  Retrograde, means that from our perspective on Earth, these two planets appear to be moving backwards even though they really aren’t.  Astrologers consider this to be significant.  Generally, when planets are retrograde, their energy turns more inward inviting an inward process, or towards resolving old unfinished business.  Typically, outer planet retrogrades are less noticeable than the inner planets EXCEPT for the first two weeks when they first go retrograde.  So, since it has only been a few days since Uranus went retrograde, it will impact this Full Moon even more powerfully.  Uranus is all about innovation, sudden change, unexpected outcomes, the ‘aha’ moment and even the terrible accident.
Uranus turning inward, suggests, sudden changes, innovations and ‘aha’ moments in our inner world or a sudden resolution of some issue that has been unresolved for quite some time. Saturn is about structure, form, rules, and patriarchy.  Since Saturn went retrograde in April, we have been looking at our own personal inward evaluations of the ‘structures’ we have built within ourselves.

It is interesting to note that all the outer celestial bodies I look at for interpretations are retrograde this month, except Jupiter! Even inner planet, Mercury will join them on August 13th, half way between this Full Moon and the whooper of a New Moon Solar Eclipse later this month.  The Universe is saying,
“You want a better community and world, then Dive Deep! You can only change the world around you by changing your own inner world.
Uranus is an even bigger player here because not only will Uranus be significant for this Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse, but Uranus will be moving towards a VERY HARMONIOUS relationship with the Sun, Moon and Mars for the New Moon Solar Eclipse later this month.  So this Full Moon kicks off the Uranus’s workshop of personal inner change that can revolutionize our outer world.

Now let’s look at the relationships that are specific to this Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse.  Jupiter (expansion, newness, benevolence) is in the sign of Libra, the balancer, and is in a GREAT relationship with both Sun and Moon.
This gives us a positive frame of mind, a pleasant sense of wellbeing and is perfect for supporting us to be able to both enjoy the Full Moon and to feel good about the work we are doing. You gotta love the balancing effect of Libra!

The Sun (your fuel) and Saturn (structure, discipline) are also working cooperatively
giving us the focus and discipline to get things done. Saturn is also supporting Mars (action, energy, the masculine) giving us the ability for vigorous self-assertion without being excessively aggressive.  If you have a project you have been wanting to finish, but lacked the energy or discipline, this Full Moon could help give you the extra boost you need.

Mercury represents the way you think and communicate and has some favorable relationships as well, with Venus and Pluto.  In this aspect, Venus (love, beauty, art, the feminine), can
helping us to feel pleasant with an open and creative mind while Pluto (the transformer) is facilitating a deep investigation of how you think and what lies under the surface.

Venus (love, beauty, art, the feminine) is also doing well this Full Moon with support from Jupiter (expansion) and Neptune (spiritualism).
This would be a GREAT time to make a new vision board.  Vision boards are amazing innovative tools, now supported by neuro science, that help you reshape your inner world and bring your dreams to fruition.

We are in the last days of the Jupiter Pluto square, as Jupiter and Pluto begin to pull away from each other their affect is waning.  This has been an intense process that began last fall and lasted all year long.  Jupiter is about expansion, and Pluto is about death and transformation, the result is having to let go of an old self so a new self can be born.  Also, this relationship can arouse intense ambition to achieve a long-held dream. If one is heart-centered, and turned toward positive self-improvement, this can be a wonderful support.  On the other hand, if one is focused on self-aggrandizement, no one benefits because eventually the selfishness will have its own negative impact.

Whenever we do this type of intense work, and when the world collectively is undergoing this process
we can feel overwhelmed, confused and like we are unimportant.  This is reflected in Saturn’s relationship with Neptune and Chiron, bringing feelings of uncertainty or confusion, feeling blocked spiritually and creatively. It can also bring up fears of not being competent or effective enough to meet our responsibilities.  Mercury’s challenging relationship with Neptune may cause mental confusion and unclearness from having to process too much information.  So be gentle with yourself, don’t push.

I know this has been a really long interpretation but all the pieces are so important, I just had to include them. It is really important to remember that you are not the only one riding this astrological wave. We all are riding it and it affects our families, politics and the whole world around us. We are all bouncing around each other, and sometimes off of each other, making it a very bumpy ride.  However, I’m here to remind you that ‘this too shall pass’ and ‘you can chose to use this energy any way you want, the choice is yours’.
This Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse and the New Moon Solar Eclipse coming up, are favorable and can help you become a better person and live a more full embodied life, IF you remain open, present and without expectations.  Be gentle with yourself and others, And Dive Deep to Ascend!

Blessings to you all,
Andrea
