Aries Full Moon, 12 degrees Aires Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11:40am This October Full Moon is in Aries. Aries is the warrior of the zodiac. She is fiercely independent and a fighter for the cosmic good. When she is balanced she is playful, competitive, courageous and self-reliant. When operating from her shadow side, she may be narcissistic and aggressive with a sense of entitlement.
The greatest challenge for a warrior is not experienced with an external opponent. Rather, it is the battle within themselves. It is the inner world that must be mastered first before she can be victorious in battle. The warrior must truly know and believe in herself to have the courage and determination necessary for victory. The Aries Warrior is the Fierce Warrior because of her inner strength, not her outer strength. We gain inner strength through introspection, investigation and courage. Astrologically this full moon is giving us the tools needed for that inner exploration. There are two T-squares this full moon. T-squares are special geometrical relationship between 3 or more planets. It’s like a table missing a leg, unstable. One T-square involves the Sun, Mercury, Moon and Pluto. The dance of these 4 planets is about transforming our relationship patterns. Specifically, our perception of self as an individual verses self in relationship. Being able to be in relationship but not lose yourself to relationship. This is a particular challenge for many women. The second T-square involves Saturn, Venus, Mars and Chiron. This T-square is highlighting our perception of masculine and feminine in our lives and how those perceptions, can be a source of our own wounding. For example, perhaps you may have a view that one of a women’s primary functions in life is to have children. If you were unable to have children, or perhaps chose not to have any, this can become a place of wounding. Conversely, you may have a view that a man can’t be a good home maker. This perception may prevent you from embracing your true calling. Our perceptions evolve from our personal experiences, our families and our cultures. These false perceptions can become so insidious, we may not realize at how they change our world view, our behavior and our life choices. This Full Moon is a 12 degrees Aries. Twelve in the Tarot is the Hanged Man. The Hanged Man represents the principle of surrender and breaking old patterns. We cannot break old patterns and evolve unless we truly know ourselves. It often takes a Warrior’s courage to turn things upside down and look at things from a different perspective. If we take the time for some self-analysis, perhaps we may gain new insights and understanding that will allow us to evolve and find more fulfillment and satisfaction in life.
