Welcome to May, well almost. I have so much happening in May I wanted to get your newsletter out a wee bit early.
Spring has finally arrived! Wahoo! I hope you have been able to take advantage of the sunny days we have had. In ancient times, the beginning of May was the Beltane festival, a festival celebrating the birth of spring and new life. Before we had such wonderful things as running hot water and electricity, winter was a seriously difficult and dangerous time of year. You can image why people wanted to rejoice once spring came around! I have all those wonderful technologies and I’m jumping for joy that spring has finally been born! Speaking of births, I’m very excited to announce my New Moon Mandala offerings! I have always felt a little sad for the New Moon, it’s always the Full Moon that gets celebrated. Besides, the New Moon is such a great time to nurture and plant seeds for the next cycle. Planting and preparing is as important, or perhaps more important than harvesting, after all, if you don’t plant anything, you can’t harvest! I have had several students ask for more restorative classes with reiki. As I pondered how to bring this to you, I thought, wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could celebrate the Full Moon and the New Moon! Tada! The New Moon Mandala will be focused on creating a deeply quieting practice using yin and restorative postures, reiki, pranayama (breathwork) and meditation. Here are the dates for 2017: Sundays 6-8pm: 5/21, 6/25, 7/23, 9/17, 10/15, 11/19, 12/17 Friday 6-8pm: 8/18 Free Library yoga is back to! 1st and 3rd Saturdays of May and June. Tell your friends! I would absolutely love to see you in class! But if you can’t make it, I totally understand, at least get outside and embrace spring! Below are my offerings for May. Hope to see you! Dive deep to ascend, Andrea
