Serving humanity by being your truest, most embodied self. Full Moon, 13 degrees Pisces Wednesday, Sep 6, 12:03am September’s Full Moon is in Pisces. Pisces is the compassionate giver, healer and deep feeler of the zodiac. Pisces people can be extremely empathetic. In fact, so much so, Pisces individuals often have a hard time knowing the difference between their feelings and other’s feelings. Since they are able to understand and feel other’s pain so well, they are often willing to sacrifice themselves to help others.
On the shadow side, Pisces people can be co-dependent, manipulative martyrs and may have highly addictive personalities. Pisces feels, and feels deeply. If they have done their personal development work and they are grounded, then they are true Bodhisattvas. Bodhisattvas are enlightened beings who chose to stay here on earth with us common folk to share their wisdom so we can reach enlightenment and be free from our suffering. During a Full Moon, the Sun and Moon oppose each other. This Full Moon is on the Virgo – Pisces axis. The sun is in Virgo while the Moon is opposite the Sun in Pisces. The Virgo – Pisces axis is about being of service, however they do service differently. Virgo is very exacting in how they do service and often more impersonal. Think of a nurse who attends to many patients. She doesn’t have the time to be deeply personal with all her patients but she is very careful and exacting about how she does her job. On the other hand, Pisces’ service is deeply personal. An example is a counselor who works one on one with her patients over a long period of time. Over time, she will have a very personal deep connection with her patient as well as be deeply attached to their success or failure. Normally for this Full Moon I’d talk about how to be of service in your life. However, Saturn is blocking both the Sun and the Moon, almost as if to say, “…being of service is not the path right now.” There is a little back history to this story. Let’s review. Back in the spring, I spoke of this wonderful grand trine between Saturn (structure and foundation), Uranus (change and innovation) and the North Node (life’s purpose). Well, it’s back! And I’m so glad! It is such a wonderful alchemy of planets. Saturn (stability) and Uranus (change) usually don’t play well together, but in this configuration, they are playing exceptionally well together. This grand trine is giving you the motivation for change (Uranus) and the knowledge and steadfastness (Saturn) to make those changes AND those changes are bringing you closer to your true-life path. The difference between the spring grand trine and our current grand trine is you are wiser! Yup, if you did the work we have been talking about for the last few moon cycles during our initiation into Leo and learning how to ‘sparkle’, then you are truly ready to move forward. In other words, if you use what you learned the last two months, really shine from the inside out and share your beautiful gifts with others, then you will truly be of service to others. However, you will NOT be of service to others because you set out to be of service (Virgo-Pisces axis) but rather you will be of service because YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DO, and that serves others. Does that make sense? I hope so, because this wisdom is such a beautiful gift from the Universe. Really the Universe is asking us to be mini-Bodhisattvas. Because we have done our own internal work, we can now share our own personal enlightenment and freedom with each other. There is one additional planetary relationship that I want to be sure to share with you. Neptune rules Pisces and is in a tight embrace with our Full Moon. Neptune also rules spirituality and the cosmic understanding of the hidden rules of the Universe and creativity. However, Neptune is also the king of delusion, illusion and confusion. It’s helpful to think of Neptune in terms of bodies of water. Sometimes the water is so turned up, you can’t see anything, it’s muddy and unclear (delusion, illusion and confusion). However, sometimes the water is so still and calm, it can reflect a mountain like at Reflection Lake, or is so deeply clear you can see down into the water 30 feet (spirituality, creativity, understanding of the cosmos). This relationship with the Moon and Neptune can go either way this Full Moon. So, while it is important to know there is the potential for delusion, illusion and confusion, I suggest that you focus on the other aspects of spirituality, creativity and connecting with the cosmos. In other words, create space in your life to be prayerful and creative. So, let’s recap. This Full Moon is asking us to utilize the fruits of our labor from the last couple of moon cycles, to be of service to others, but not for the purpose of being of service. Instead, we can serve humanity by manifesting our most whole and embodied self and following our life’s passion. In doing that work, we can inspire each other to shine and be the bright beings the Universe has always intended us to be. Dive deep to ascend, Andrea
