June Full Moon - Friday June 9, 6:09am - 18 degrees Sagittarius Sagittarius is the truth seeker and adventurer of the zodiac. The symbol for Sagittarius is the Centaur, half beast, half man. There is a duality to Sagittarius, part of him wanting to be physical, playful, competitive, and reveling in the delights of the manifest world (the beast part) and the other part wants to be intellectual, learned, wise, philosopher, information gatherer (the human part). Sagittarius’s search for knowledge and dualistic nature is very similar to Gemini, which we discussed for the previous New Moon. Sagittarius is a fire sign and likes to get deeply into the true passionate fire of things, physical or mental. The challenge is to learn to flow between physical and mental pursuits.
The astrology for this Full Moon, continues this theme of duality. As with all Full Moons the Sun is opposite the Moon, Gemini opposite Sagittarius. The Gemini Sagittarius axis is really about trail mates, on their own INDIVIDUAL journey, yet are sharing the road together and are made better by their sharing. It reminds me of stories of pilgrimages when people who would not normally come together, find themselves walking the same path and are ultimately enriched by their trail sharing. Jupiter and Mercury are getting along great, which makes it a good time to write, sell or buy or sign contracts. The only catch is that Mercury is not getting along well with Neptune, leading you possibly to a distorted vison. Making it is not the best time to buy, sell or sign contracts! Ah duality! Saturn is a big player in this Full Moon. He is not so happy with the Sun and is holding the Moon hostage. The Sun is your energy, so with Saturn angry with the Sun he is draining your energy leaving you feeling tired. The Moon represents your emotional self. With Saturn so close to the moon, you may feel that you don’t really want to share your feelings with anyone. At its worst, you may feel thwarted, beat down, and shut down, lonely and misunderstood. You may find yourself doing some self-evaluations, which can be good, but be careful your evaluations don’t become self-loathing, because self-loathing never helped anyone! There is also a possibility that your personal feelings are so intense you’d rather not experience them yourself, so you project them onto your partner or perhaps a parent, or someone who plays that role in your life. It is important to remember, these feelings will pass and try to think before you speak and act. Freedom is very important to Sagittarius. It might be time to leave the nest, to not look for approval from others. Perhaps the conflicts between Sun, Saturn and Moon are saying, it’s time to grow up and be responsible for yourself, and no longer be dependent on Big Daddy or Big Momma to make your dreams come true. Big Daddy or Big Momma can say no, but you don’t have to listen, you can choose your own path. To balance the soberness of Saturn, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Pluto are giving you good support. Helping you feel energized, motivated and balanced. This is a good time for a restoration project, purging, planning or organizing of your goals. Speaking of goals, Saturn is still in a favorable combination with the North Node (your true path). So maybe this is a good time to do some goal setting and planning so that you can manifest what it is that you want to bring to life. In summary, I think this Full Moon, is asking us to dance between the dualities of life. Between doing and being, living and thinking. Not choosing one over the other, but be able to move between them so that you are primed for action, when the opportunity arises. When the opportunities arise, know that you are free to choose your own path and to not be held back by old patterns and negative ways of thinking. Dive Deep to Ascend, Andrea
